ABOUT

TULARE COUNTY REGIONAL EQUITY-BASED ZERO EMISSION REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION STUDY
Please join us on Wednesday, October 8 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. for the Community Workshop at the Tulare County Library in Visalia!

Project Background

The Tulare County Equity Based Zero Emissions Regional Transportation Study (TC-EBZERTS) is a countywide study that will facilitate progress towards reducing vehicle emissions and expanding electric vehicle charging and alternative fuel access in Tulare County. TC-EBZERTS will provide the Tulare County Association of Governments (TCAG) and its member agencies with guidance and tools to equitably accommodate the market penetration of alternative fuel vehicles, improve charging/fueling access for all alternative vehicle users, and identify funding opportunities to support the county’s transition to cleaner energy for transportation.

Project Study Area

TC-EBZERTS will identify public charging/fueling infrastructure needs throughout Tulare County. This includes identifying the type, amount and location of charging/fueling infrastructure to meet anticipated demand. Particular focus will be placed on the needs of disadvantaged communities whose access to public charging infrastructure is different than those who own a personal garage for vehicle charging. The needs of inter-city, interregional travelers, and goods movement will also be addressed along key corridors.
